“Series page” in “Interdisciplinary Community-Engaged Research for Health series”
The Interdisciplinary Community-Engaged Research for Health series aims to bridge the gap between researchers and practitioners to facilitate the development of collaborative, equitable research and action. The reality of persistent health disparities and structural inequalities highlights the need for new strategies that are social justice-driven. Traditionally, efforts have tended to be institution-based, “expert”-focused, and silo-specific. To promote health equity, diverse stakeholders with different types of expertise need to work together to solve real-world problems. This series publishes books that recognize the importance of diverse collaboration and equip readers from a variety of backgrounds with the tools and vision to center community voice in research for action.
